Child Fitness Tax Credit

Did you know that in 2007 the Canadian Government introduced a non-refundable tax credit to let parents claim up to $500 in eligible fees for enroling a child under 16 in an eligible physical activity program.  You may be able to claim up to $500 per child for the fees paid in 2011 that relate to the cost of registering your or your spouse's or common-law partner's child in a prescribed program of physical activity.

Keep your receipt from the MIC Program that you register for.  You may want to claim the program on your 2011 Tax Return.
